AURUM’S CORE TECHNOLOGY

AURUM’s core technology is heat exchange process engineering. In its internationalisation dynamic, AURUM has been active in India for many years, following the establishment of the first corrugated tube heat exchanger factory in that country.

This presence has led to contact and relationships with Indian companies specialised in the design and construction of biogas plants, as India holds a leading position worldwide in biogas generation technology, which allows AURUM to take on large biogas generation projects with full operational guarantees at very competitive costs.

On the other hand, in order to obtain maximum performance in the generation of biogas, it is often necessary to pre-treat the raw material before it enters the digester, and AURUM has the capacity to define and build the necessary pre-treatment equipment in each case.

Finally, the resulting liquid and solid waste after obtaining the biogas must be processed for commercial recovery as fertilisers and irrigation water, a field in which AURUM is also directly involved.

OPERATION

When generating electricity by means of a dynamo or alternator, driven by a heat engine or a turbine, the utilisation of the chemical energy of the fuel is 25 to 46 % (over the lower calorific value), and the rest has to be dissipated as heat. Cogeneration uses a significant part of the thermal energy that would normally be dissipated to the atmosphere or to a body of water and avoids the need to generate it again with a boiler. It also avoids the potential problems caused by unused heat.

The biogas is purified to obtain a BIOMETHANE with a higher calorific value thanks to aurum’s biogas purification system.
